Throughout all of his life, Ulf W Rennéus has worked with photographic imagery. He laid the foundation to his craft as an apprentice where he got technical and practical training. This opened the door for him to acquire his own studio where he started doing commissioned work in advertising, communication and with people.

As time passed Ulf broadened his spectrum through work as a cinematographer (DOP) in both short films, commercials and documentary films. In recent years though, he’s only focused on his own images as artistic work.

Rennéus explores themes that span from the relationship with nature, ordinary symbols to the beauty of transience. Other themes are those that the modern and complex man is constantly confronted with: permanence, persona and abandonment. Through quiet curiosity, he invites the spectator to take part in what is close around us.

He resides and have his studio in Stockholm, Sweden.
